Lola Lafia is a Brooklyn based photographer and artist. She works primarily with 35mm film.
Lola is a senior at Bard High School Early College in the Lower East Side, and has taken classes at the International Center of Photography, Pratt, and The Arts Effect. She is currently in the yearlong Imagemakers program at the International Center of Photography.
At the moment, Lola is inspired by artists Rineke Dijkstra, Pipilotti Rist, Andreas Gursky, and Yayoi Kusama. Her favorite authors are Sylvia Plath, Susan Sontag, Ee Cummings, R.D. Laing, and Marshall McLuhan. Lola's other interests include computer science and philosophy.
